"The Young Winos of LA are looking for one or more wineries to donate wine to an exclusive upcoming event at the Beverly Hills Country Club. On Saturday, February 21st, several Winos will be featured guests at a gathering of sports and entertainment executives, where we'll be promoting the Young Winos organization. As part of our appearance, we'll be leading the guests through a tasting of several California wines, and we're currently looking for one Chardonnay (roughly in the $20-$35 range) and one Pinot Noir or Zinfandel (roughly in the $30-$40 range) to be featured in this lineup.
Unlike other Young Winos events about which you may have been contacted in the past, this event will not be open to our twenty-something membership -- instead, the Winos' participation will be limited to sharing information about our organization to interested guests. What that means is that if you choose to donate wine to this particular event, your selections will instead be introduced to executives from Fox, Fox Sports Net, EA Sports, the NFL, Comedy Central, Game Show Network, E!, Golf Channel, Village Road Show Pictures, and Yari Films, as well as agents and managers.
In addition, once the event is through, we'll feature a write-up on our website, complete with photos and wine reviews. So although our membership won't get to taste the bottles you send us, our reviews of those bottles will be made available to our 850+ members nationwide, as well as any other visitors to our blog and website. (We recently featured the 2005 Tolosa Pinot Noir at a Beverly HIlls jewelry show -- click here to read the write-up, which will offer you a sense of what this event's write-up may look like.) Your brand will therefore still enjoy the benefits of access to a discerning group of young consumers, both here in Los Angeles and everywhere else that Young Winos have readers and participants.
We'd require at least six bottles each of any wine you choose to donate, which we'd need to receive by Friday, February 20th at the latest. (Again, we're looking for Chardonnay on the white side, and Pinot Noir or Zinfandel on the red. Please feel free to contact us about one or more of these varietals.) With your shipment, please include any promotional materials or tasting notes that you'd like to be distributed or displayed next to the bottles at the event. The event's promoters will provide glassware, refreshments, etc., and the Young Winos will provide the experience -- all you need to do is provide the bottles.
