Going to Fresno - looking for nearby wine tasting

So I'm going to Fresno tomorrow, and trying to figure out what the most accessible wine tasting areas there are nearby. I thought Paso Robles was closer, but it's 120 miles (3 hours accd. to google maps), and I can't figure out what else is closer. I know they grow grapes up there, but I don't know if there's much in the way of tasting rooms en masse.

Suggestions, resources, ideas? Hit me! (Central Coast people, I'm looking at you!)

Thanks.

Do yourself a favor and don't taste in Fresno...nothing of note there.

You are approximately 2 1/2 hours from the Paso area, around 200 wineries here. You are also roughly 2 hours from the Lodi area, a must for any Zinfandel fan. Another undiscovered location for tasting is San Benito County, again, approximately 2 hours from the Fresno area (ain't this place a geographical oddity, 2 hours from everywhere...) Should you decide to head to San Benito County, there's not much there in the way of accomodations, perhaps Gilroy, CA

Yeah, that's what I figured. I'm going to Fresno to visit a friend, she wants me to take her wine-tasting. Maybe we'll try Lodi - haven't been there yet. I know Paso is reliable and good. Hmm...
